Orthokine Vet IRAP
Back
The Orthokine®vet IRAP is used in the treatment of Osteoarthritis, Synovitis and other inflammatory pathologies.
Autologous Conditioned Serum (ACS) is prepared by the treating veterinarian using the patented procedure with the Orthokine®vet irap-syringe.
ACS is enriched by Growth-Factors as well as Interleukin-1 antagonists during the process.
Interleukin-1 antagonists are autologous, molecular adversaries of Interleukin-1, the driving force behind inflammation.
SERUM PROCCESSING
For the preparation of Autologous Conditioned Serum (ACS), an anti-inflammatory protein enriched serum to treat synovial disease as well as tendons and ligaments. ACS contains amongst others: IL-1Ra (IRAP), PFGF, IGF, VEGF, IL-10
Blood sample is taken from the patient. During a special preparation method blood cells are stimulated to produce protective proteins that hold anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties. The liquid phase of the blood (serum) including these proteins is used to treat the patient.
This innovate single component closed system has been used in practice for over 10 years and has published clinical studies.
